During a promo for The Morning Show, Jennifer Aniston was surprised to discover a lesser-known fact about her close friend and co-star Reese Witherspoon: her name includes “Laura Jean.”
In a recent episode of LADbible’s Do You Even Know Me?, Witherspoon, 49, asked Aniston: “What is my real middle name? A: Jane, B: Jean or C: Joan.” Aniston confidently chose “Jean.” But Witherspoon corrected her: her name is Laura Jean Reese. Aniston was visibly taken aback and asked, “Laura! Who’s Laura? Who the hell’s Laura? I’m not calling you that from now on! Where did Reese come from?”
Reese then clarified that “Laura Jean” is her full first and middle name, and that she’s always been “Reese”—it’s not a changed name, just the part she uses publicly.
Aniston and Witherspoon have been friends for many years, since Witherspoon guest-starred on Friends back in 2000. They are now working together again on the fourth season of The Morning Show, which airs on Apple TV+ every Wednesday.
